Reliable jewelry information
Unhappily getting medic alert jewelry for the first time, but need advice from professionals?
I had an anaphylactic reaction to penecillin, ibuprofen, aspirin and lidocaine out of the blue ten years ago when they were all administered to me at once by a dentist.I have been pretty irresponsible about the sutuation since as far as carrying anything on me that indicates this. I am uneasy about wearing anything that identifies me as weak or vulnerable, especially because I'm already a small person.I have a few questions about medic alert jewelry 1 Would anyone think to look for a medic alert anklet or those shoe tags you slip onto your shoelaces? They seem like a much more discreet option, but if they would probably go unnoticed, I wouldn't get them.2 Should the jewelry have abbreviations for my allergies or the whole words for the medications that i can't have spelled out? Should it mention that I carry an epipen?3 I saw bracelets that look nothing like medic alerts on a website. For example, leather cuffs with the little cross thing stamped into the leather on the front and medical info stamped onto the back. Would medical workers look at anything I wear on my wrist, neck, shoes, etc enough to notice it was a medic alert? I wear a ton of rings and other jewelry, so that might be a task.Any info is helpful, because I don't know much about this and I'm doing it rather grudgingly, with the knowledge that it's the responsible thing to do. I'd rather get something that looks nothing like a medic alert, or is concealed, such as on my ankle, but if that's a bad idea, I guess I'll just do what I should. Ugh.Thanks in advance
Any info on alpaca/camel bone jewelry?
a bit bizzar, but has anyone here ever heard of jewelry being made out of alpaca or camel bone? i am trying to find some kind of either feather, wing or angel pendant or charm online to make my own necklace as i cant find one ready made that i like, but i dont want to spend loads skint but also want it to be something special as its to represent my angel baby, long story short, most charms etc look really cheap and not very special, but i have found some alpaca camel bone earrings would remove the hook and use it as a pendant they are very striking looking and certainly something special but i can not find any info online about wearing bone for jewelry, for example, is it crule? feel a bit reluctant for this reason is it safe? cant help but wonder what diseases bones could carry not sure if my worry is a bit extream though? and also how fragile is it? as i plan on wearing it 24 7 not just once in a while... any info would be fab if anyone has any better idea... i am a bit stumped

Is it possible for jewelry to have the skin grow around it?
I have a cartilage piercing. The jewelry itself was kind of short but it was never uncomfortable. Tonight I touched it a realized there was a bubble around the backing. I took my piercing out and squeezed it a little and it popped with blood coming out. It must have happened just a few days ago because I don't remember it being like this even last night. Is it possible for the skin to attach itself to jewelry like an earring it was a simple stud if left in for a long peroid of time? What can I do to make sure it doesn't get worse?
I'm allergic to jewelry that contains nickel...?
When I wear necklaces, my neck breaks out and starts itching really bad. I found out there is something I can put on my jewelry to protect me from the nickel nickel solutions but I don't want to spend $20 and it possibly not work. Are there any other things I can try before investing my money? Someone suggested clear nail polish. Has anyone tried that?

If i have a keloid on my industrial piercing and i try the aspirin treatment, can i leave the jewelry in?
I've had my keloid industrial piercing for about 3 years now and i have tried the tea tree oil treatments but no luck. And I've heard about the aspirin treatments but how do i do the treatments? Do i leave my jewelry in while doing the treatments and for how long? Also are there any other effective treatments that have helped anyone else? The keloid itself has grown and is pretty embarrassing, i just want it to go away without having to get injections.

Jewelry burns after getting it cleaned, soaked in alcohol and it still burns.?
My wedding rings were cleaned by Zales and have burned given a rash to my skin since I've had them cleaned they did not burn or give me rashes before getting them cleaned and I wore them almost 24 7 for a year . I've used several different types of cleaners and soaked them in alcohol and nothing helps, I still get the burns and it's been several months. Is there anything else I can do to help clean my rings so they no longer burn my skin?
