Can titanium jewelry damage all porcelain crowns?
Hello. I recently got six all porcelain crowns on my front teeth. I have a titanium monroe piercing. Every once in awhile, I feel hear it click against the porcelain. I am wondering if the piercing can damage the crowns, and, if so, how long it would take for damage to occur and what kind of damage it would be. I had spaces inbetween my teeth before, so I never felt the piercing touch the teeth. Now, I'm worried.
Why do they ask you to remove your jewelry and if you are pregnant when getting an X-Ray?
Would I get AIDS or any other viruses by just trying some earrings on at the jewelry store?
Ok so I went to this jewelry store and I saw 2 pair of earrings which I liked a lot. So like a stupid idiot, I asked the lady if I could e tried them on and she let me. So I put them on and that's it? I am scared now because maybe other people put them on and god know what they have. Omg
If you are allergic to fake jewelry, could you also be allergic to pewter metal?
Re-pierced my tongue piercing with my jewelry...?
I took out my piercing for about 4 days. It closed up a little. So I took my jewelry and poked through it. It was sore for about 4 days which was expected . It's been a little over a week now and it's still a little sore but I've noticed some soreness on the left side of my tongue. There are no signs of infection around the hole. But I'm wondering if the pain on the side of my tongue can be something other than an infection related to the piercing.... any comments or thoughts? Thanks in advance.
If I have an iron allergy to jewelry would stainless steal irritate me?
Unhappily getting medic alert jewelry for the first time, but need advice from professionals?
I had an anaphylactic reaction to penecillin, ibuprofen, aspirin and lidocaine out of the blue ten years ago when they were all administered to me at once by a dentist.I have been pretty irresponsible about the sutuation since as far as carrying anything on me that indicates this. I am uneasy about wearing anything that identifies me as weak or vulnerable, especially because I'm already a small person.I have a few questions about medic alert jewelry 1 Would anyone think to look for a medic alert anklet or those shoe tags you slip onto your shoelaces? They seem like a much more discreet option, but if they would probably go unnoticed, I wouldn't get them.2 Should the jewelry have abbreviations for my allergies or the whole words for the medications that i can't have spelled out? Should it mention that I carry an epipen?3 I saw bracelets that look nothing like medic alerts on a website. For example, leather cuffs with the little cross thing stamped into the leather on the front and medical info stamped onto the back. Would medical workers look at anything I wear on my wrist, neck, shoes, etc enough to notice it was a medic alert? I wear a ton of rings and other jewelry, so that might be a task.Any info is helpful, because I don't know much about this and I'm doing it rather grudgingly, with the knowledge that it's the responsible thing to do. I'd rather get something that looks nothing like a medic alert, or is concealed, such as on my ankle, but if that's a bad idea, I guess I'll just do what I should. Ugh.Thanks in advance
If a person is allergic to everything jewelry will wearing surgical steel earring be just as painful?
So far I can't wear any form of earrings that I know of . I'm almost tempted to get an allergy test done just to find out what I'm allergic too I like having my ears pierced and was wondering do you think I'll be allergic to surgical steel earrings too?
Do you have to remove all body jewelry before having a CAT scan?
I'm getting dental implants and they ordered a cat scan beforehand.. and i was wondering if i had to remove my earrings, nose stud, or bellybutton ring..i know its not part of being scanned im just curious. or ive heard rumors of tattoos affecting the scan...if so,is it okay if i wear a plastic nose stud instead? id rather not take it out for the whole scan and have to re pierce it again.Thank you
Should I wear medical i.d. jewelry to identify myself as asthmatic?
Do people with asthma do this? It never occurred to me to do this, but almost a year ago, I did have a severe asthma attack which led to respiratory failure and a two week hospital stay . At that time, someone was with me who gave my medical history to the EMS crew and hospital personnel. What if I am alone somewhere and I have another severe attack and cannot speak? Can I assume all breathing problems are treated the same and if I end up needing emergency help, they'll figure it out?
Would it be a bad idea to stretch my ears if I'm allergic to fake jewelry?
It's just my right ear that reacts. It'll swell and then it hurts if I try to put the earring back in. I really want to stretch my ears and I'm not too sure if it'll be a good idea considering the situation.
I've had a piece of jewelry since I was eight, and have recently lost it. How do I not flip my sh*t?
It had a lovely golden or rather, previously golden it had become mostly silver over the almost decade I'd had and constantly worn it chain and a custom made line of colored glass arranged to look like a rainbow for its dangly bit. It was a cheap thing, only something like twenty dollars I still loved it more than any single piece of " fancy" , " real" jewelry my grandmother had ever and has ever shown me.I wore it all the time, and took it off to cosplay with a friend for a few hours. Like an idiot, I stuffed it in my back pocket. I've since checked everywhere, and am ninety nine point nine percent positive it's not going to be found. It's too small of a thing to put lost posters up for, and even if I did the odds that someone would have picked it up are slim to none we weren't exactly in the " best" of areas .I'm well aware of the fact that the necklace isn't something " important" , like money or an irreplaceable photo of a loved one or a credit card, but damn if it wasn't important to me. I've had it for so many years, and have worn it almost constantly since I started highschool. And I do mean almost constantly. I wore it under the costumes of plays, and in my suit during swimming competition.s For gods sake, I showered in the thing. I even DREW myself in it when I made comics to spoof the random things my friends and I did or wrote them notes. The point here being, the necklace was as corny and as melodramatic as it sounds a part of my identity. It was the only piece of jewelry that I wore, and the only item of clothing that I gave half a care about I'm not " huge" on fashion .My question, in gist, is how do I get over this spectacularly insignificant item of dress, regardless of how close I may have held it to myself?
Mental Health Awareness jewelry?
I am looking for jewelry that supports mental health awareness specifically anxiety or depression. I was officially diagnosed with depression and anxiety at the end of 09 and I would love to have a piece of jewelry to say hey ive overcame this. I would love to have some thing that when people ask me about it i can tell my story.
What happens to a deceased persons jewelry and clothes they are wearing after an autopsy?
I know the pathologist removes the clothes but what about the jewelry? Also what does the pathologist do with these articles? Do they bury the person in them or give them to a family member?Um.. Barbie, I would never take my own life. My mother passed away. Thanks for the good wishes but you were under the wrong assumption which is pretty offensive.
