I need brass finish track lights?
If I bi-wire some speakers, should I leave the brass pole connectors in, or take them out?
I bought my wife a home theater amplifer, and a couple of large speakers to use for her tv home theater use.My step son connected up the amp and tv yesterday with some high quality cable I also had bought.I myself would have just wired it the old fashioned way non bi wired , and knowing that it would be ok becase there is a brass bi wire jumper connection which lays prety flush against the speaker cabinet.But he has bi wired it as the large speakers do have dual High Frequency and Low Frequency poles at the back.But my question is should he have taken out the brass jumper plate ?I would have, but he didn't.Did he do the right thing leaving it in, or might leaving it in cause some sort of sonic electrical problems ?And one last thing, I had the impedence selector set at 8 Ohms because the speakers are 8 Ohms, but as we are only using the amp in stereo mode, not 5.1 etc, should these two bi wired speakers be set at 4 Ohms instead of 8 Ohms on the back of the amp .?Thanks.It's only one amp we are using, not two.I thought that using two amps was called bi amping, not bi wiring. and not as common as bi wiring ?
