Just got a photo frame for my father for Christmas. I want to put pictures on it but as soon as I turn it on it goes into slides how mode with the preloaded pictures. No matter what button I press this happens. When it's in slides how yet again no matter what button I press nothing happens, it just keeps going with the slide show.

Why does my digital photo frame keep turning itself off and on again?
My digital photo frame goes through my photos up to a certain point, then it switches itself off and on again. I've tried removing the photo it freezes at and it still does the same thing.I originally had to format my SD card to get the frame to recognise that I'd even inserted it, so I don't know whether it has anything to do with that.All my photos are JPG files, so there shouldn't be any issue of compatibility and they're all around the same size.

Basic digital photo frame - add rss feeds and news and pictures?
I have a HP photo frame and it's pretty basic. It has a little built in memory and I can also add a 2 gb card. I can hook it up and add whatever jpgs I want of course. A few years back the site framechannel.com used to offer a way to download rss feeds and other custom channels that you could download daily. They started selling their own frames and that all ended as far as I know. I'm looking for a site program that I could get rss feeds as jpgs in condensed versions with pictures in the background and just so it looks nice. Local sports, weather, custom rss feeds. I've done this before and it seems like every site wants you to buy their new frame or service. Any recommendations for a site that provides this? I have an iPad, iPhone and my old digital frames just collect dust. It's silly. Even back then it seemed bothersome to take the card out, put it the computer, download, put back in I've since found USB extenders and I can put the frame 25' 50' away, and just have to plug in the frame while it uploads. " usb cat5 extension" from ebay works great for webcams too, although I use cat6 for longer runs . I have to plug the frame in to the AC anyway so I don't care.

orange lights up during charge but when switched on green light shows one quick flash then off.contacted philips,told the expence to examine the unit and repair if possible makes this choice unacceptible to customer.the unit is 2yrs old and has hardly been used. Great gran child now joined family,hence new interest in photos.Is there any electronic wizard out there can suggest a solution.?
