What is a good value powered home audio subwoofer?
I have a pair of audio engine A5 powered speakers love them and am looking for a powered subwoofer to compliment them. I am looking to spend $250 or less. I bought a Polk audio psw10 sub but wasn't really happy with the lows. I don't need it to be incredibly loud but I need it to be loud enough for the occasional party. Clean sound is more important than power though.

Please help with home audio advice?
I need help building a small home system. I am an old timer from the 80s and know nothing about digital music. I'd like to be able to play mp3 at home do I need an ipod for that? Or can I just download the files, and where do I store them? I'd like to build a system using the fewest components possible, mainly CD and mp3. Do I need a receiver, or what do I need at minimum besides speakers. Thank you.I don't have computer speakers, I wanted to get some good, large speakers. Do I just plug them into my pc when I want to play them? Not sure I know how they would connect, either.

Is there a decent home audio system I can buy for 150-300 dollars?
I will be using it with my PlayStation 3 and 42 inch television. Any suggestions or recommendations? I don't care too much about surround sound, and would prefer a 2.1 system. Unless of course the 5.1 is better within the price range. Thank you

Need help setting up a home audio surround sound system?
I just purchased a new Yamaha receiver and I have a question about hooking it up. I have the following components HDTVDVD playerComcast cable boxMy question is Do I simply plug everything into the Receiver and run one HDMI cable from the receiver to the TV? Or do I have to make separate video connections to the TV and audio connections to the receiver? I have HDMI capabilities with all components, so hopefully it will be simple. Thanks in advance for the help

What is the best reasonably priced home audio system for a living room to use with my television?
I would like to FINALLY upgrade to a blu ray player and figured I may as well get one with a home audio system so I can have surround sound. I would love to have a wireless set up for the speakers to cut down on cords going every which direction. I saw that Rocketfish has a back speaker wireless set up for $109, but you can only hook 2 speakers up to it. I'm definitely not an audiophile and have no idea what I'm looking at. We have a 60" flat screen with not much room to place the speakers. I don't like the tower speakers because they look bulky. I've heard the new sound bars are good, but our living room is pretty big and I'm not sure that would get the job done. I'm on a bit of a budget and was HOPING to stay around $200 less is even better if possible and then if I didn't get one with wireless capabilities I could always get some kind of adapter like the Rocketfish wireless speaker system later on. Any ideas or information is appreciated Thank you Thanks for all of the info. I'm going to take the advice and just buy a bluray player for now and save up for a system separately. What is the difference between 5.1 and 7.1? I saw systems with soundbars that start with 2.1 and am assuming the higher the number the better, but I don't know what these numbers represent. Thanks

Best speakers for home audio system?
I'm putting together a wireless audio system in my apartment, but I'm not sure which speakers to use. I'll be using an Airport Express for the wireless portion. The speakers should produce good quality, but I'm not looking to spend JBL or Bose level money.

What are some good home audio amplifiers?

If a home audio receiver says 110w x 5 does that mean it can give each speaker 110w? or 5 speakers split 110w?
Pioneer vsx 520

I think something is up with my bose tower speaker (home audio)?
Alright, 1995 models. Its a Bose tower speaker, legit sound. When I turn the volume up, one of the speakers rattle from the inside. Not quite sure if it's blown, because it still makes sound, with no static, and there is no sound difference from the speaker itself compared to the others, just an interior rattle. The speaker gives me no problem at normal ranges. 20 % is for basic TV movie watching and i have no trouble with any of my speakers there, 40 50 % is when i start having trouble, and i only go that high when i listen to music. Although my receiver can go to 100 % volume, i know better to not go past 60 %, that would surely destroy the speakers. again, even at 50 % the highest i go, i don't want noise complaints my other speakers are fineThe rattle only happens on very low notes, near the bottom of the speakers range, on a mid high volume, which is why im doubtful it's blown, as again, the problem doesn't exist between 0 35 % volume. Is this just something loose inside?

What is the best brand for you buck when buy home audio speakers? ?
I have looked a Polk and Bose 201 and would like to piece together my own set.
