Reliable home theater information
Can anyone suggest me the best 5.1 dvd home theater within 10000 indian rupees for my samsung 40 inch led tv.?
I also need to connect it to my audio digital out for tv viewing
What is the best home theater reciever? HELP?
I want a good quality reciever for not too much. Btween $200 and $500. I want a powerful reciever prefereably over 100 watts per channel i don't care 5.1 or 7.1. The features i want are Satellite radio XM or Sirius , individual speaker volume control and equalization, LOTS of power, plenty of inputs. I dont need the video part of the reciever just the audio. I like brands like Yamaha, Denon, Onkyo, Pioneer etc. Please help
Can dipole surrounds be placed on rear wall of home theater?
My understanding is that Bipole speakers should be placed on the rear wall behind the listener . Dipole speakers should be placed on the side wall on either side of the listener . But can I place the Dipole speakers on the rear wall? My living room setup only has one side wall, the other side wall is way too far away. Should I place them high, way above ear level?
Why can't I get 5.1 surround sound with my Panasonic SA-BTT770 home theater system?
I just bought the Panasonic SA BTT770 Home Theater System and can't seem to get the rear speakers to work wirelessly with the wireless transmitter. Am I missing a wireless card or something? Is there a way to make this work or is there a way to just have a wired set up with it?
Which projector would be better for home theater an IBM C400 or a Mitsubishi ES100U?
The C400 has 2650 ASNI,1200 1 contrast ratio. the native resolution is 1024x768 and it is a.7" DLPThe ES100U spec are 2000 ASNI, 2000 1 800x600 and it is a .6" or .7" dlp. Both are older projectors and at first I thought the IBM a clear winner but the Mitsubishi has several different modes for color balance and temp including some specifically for movies. I'll be using standard resolution more than HD, at least for a while. Any opinions are welcome and appreciated.
Whats the difference in home theater speaker wire and say speaker cords for live sound, concerts, etc?

So I bought this theater system and it works fine for coming out of the DVD player, but I want to use the speakers for all components PS3, cable, IPod, etc. I plugged the HDMI cable into the TV and DVD player works fine. I plugged the HDMI cable into the PS3 and TV, and the sound still works with the DVD player, but not the PS3. Is there a way to remedy this?
Are sound bar home theaters worth it ?
I dont have enough money to buy a full set with a receiver so do you think this lg.com us home theater systems lg NB3520A home theater system will be worth it ? I will be using it for PS3 and satellite tv only. thanks
9.1 home theater vs 5.1 home theater ?

I was looking at a few of the LG hometheater options as my budget wont allow me to buy a full set with a receiver. DO you think home theaters are worth it at all. I wont watch any blueray movies so im only going to use it for PS3 and cable television. Front riser set up for DLP home theater room?
Any ideas out there for the new 73740 mitsu DLP on front wall in a 14 by 14 room. I cant build the wall out its a rental home. Trying to box in to make look like a projector screen. Maybe curtains around it??? was looking for some kind of ideas. The room is dark red with black wall where tv is on stand at the moment, black trim ceiling black also.

I want the top of the line home theater system that money can buy. money is basically no limit... the top audo brands that come to mind to me is yamaha an bose. but i know bose is hyped, and i know there has to be way better brands out there for the money... i want a stereo so loud that i could wake my whole town one mile long if i wanted to. thats a bit exagerated but i think you guys know what i want. i know some people say micing and matching recievers speakers subs is usually smart because one company usually focuses on being the best in one catagory. i dont care about the size of the speakers either they can b as tiny as bose speakers or huge tower speakers. id prefer tower speakers in the front same brand as the center channel speaker. id also preffer 7.1 or 7.2 saround soundBasically go balls out on your dream stereo
