IOS app for stage lighting?
Ok so I'd like to put togethers little lighting setup to jazz up my band's live performances. We play to a click track because we have some beats and ambient sounds that come in and out during our songs, going through the PA. What we've been doing up to this point is having tracks on an iPod that our drummer control. The tracks go through a splitter, sending out audio panned all the way to the left, and a click track panned all the way to the right, going to the drummer's earbuds. Now, I'd like to add a light show, timed perfectly to the music. Is there an iOS app that can send out those audio signals, but also a midi signal to control the lights? The way I imagine it is having each individual song have its own track, each with its own midi sequence, that our drummer can hit play from behind his drum set and it all just works together.

Studio Lighting Help?
I'm looking to expand my photography equipment stash and was looking at continuous studio lighting.... I'm researching the topic on the internet to see what type of light light bulbs would work best to create a natural looking light on camera. From what I've seen on a few different sites it is ideal to get a bulb that produces a bright white light that are most likely marked " Full Spectrum" or " Daylight." Fluorescent bulbs are best used to create this look as they do not run hot and the light emitted is comparable to that of a flash meaning the light looks the same .What do you think about this? What type of bulb works best for studio lighting? If you could provide me links to products such as umbrellas, continuous studio lighting, and light bulbs that would be a great help Here are some products I'm currently looking at inspironphoto.com index.php?main page product info& cPath 6 8& products id 520inspironphoto.com index.php?main page product info& cPath 6 8& products id 392inspironphoto.com index.php?main page product info& cPath 6 8& products id 522inspironphoto.com index.php?main page product info& cPath 6 7& products id 526henrys.com 11829 OPUS LIGHTKIT 2 HEADSOCKT RFL STD1000W.aspxThanks

Should I get the Nook simple touch with Glow light?
I am looking to buy a Barnes and Noble Nook for my mom. I realized that now they have a new nook with glow light. I'm struggling with figuring out if i should spend the extra $39 bucks since the regular nook is $99. Does anyone own a Nook and can give me some advice. Unless someone is going to read in pitch black darkness is it worth getting the glowlight if you are using regular house lighting should it matter? Don't the screen give off some kind of light already? idk.. please help.

When shooting low-light indoors with a prime lens what is the recommended 'setting' to get the optimal image?
I'm currently shooting with a Nikon D3100, f1.8 35mm prime lens and SB400 bounce flash. The subject matter is random candid shots of family around the house but as I previously mentioned the lighting can be low at times.I've tried shooting in aperture priority mode with mixed results. I tried shooting in full automatic mode and the pics were slightly better. Any recommendations?

What camcorder and lights would be good for greenscreening?
Hi I'm looking to greenscreen videos for YouTube for under 600. The camcorder I have is only 720p HD and even then it isn't the best quality. It cannot key out the background and me together and it always makes a horrible sound throughout the video. I have to use After Effects CS5.5 to key out and even then it doesn't key out properly with keylight 1.2 with the settings changed. It's a FujiFilm Finepix s3200. What camcorder should I get that can fit all my needs?And...... What lighting should I get as I only turn on some lamps.Thanks.P.S. It MUST BE CHEAP Palladine and Carl Great answers This helps me so much. Thanks
