Why do mp3 players have to look so much like phones nowa days?
i mean my mp3 player is awesome and i'm not knocking the quality for a second but does it really have to be bigger than my mobile, really?i have been there done that with small mp3 players, its awesome but the quality i'm after wasn't there with them sound wise i have got a Cowon i10 and its the best i've ever had the privalige of owning.. anything but an iPod. just its actually quite on the large side, when did they decide to make them look exactly like phones?

What's the best mp3 player?
I'm looking for an mp3 player with a large amount of storage 120gb to 160gb, or more . I'm so fed up with iPods right now. I've had five and they all broke within a year of getting them and each of them had their own little annoying problems. Can you think of any reliable mp3 players with a longer lifespan than that of an iPod, and has a good amount of storage space? I'm very interested in the Zune 120gb but it's so expensive like $400 and I don't have that kind of money. Please help me out
Why don't companies build speakers inside the mp3 player?
I'm doing a project in my science class where we have to think of an object that we use everyday and turn it better for the enviroment. I was thinking about ways to make an mp3 player better and i was thinking built in speakers instead of having to use ear buds all the time... but the thing is, we have to find research about WHY the company of whoever makes the product you choose like the way your coming up with it. So... i guess my question is, why don't companies build speakers inside mp3 players instead of having to use ear buds all the time. These projects aren't being sent anywhere its just a project for school and school only... so, help??

The extraction of it is a simple matter. More than happy to show you how to do it tks einat b, I know " how to do stuff" , however the original firmware is needed as I dont want use the mp3 player only as pendrive, because this little masterpiece beside to be an mp3 player got an effective equalizer and a marvelous voice recorder. the firmware I tried so far most of the time got mapping issues with the display, which probably is slightly smaller than the mp3 players I use the trial firmware.
Eclipse 4GB MP3 player keeps turning off (not sure if anybody even owns one)?
whenever I turn the thing on, it shows the 'Eclipde' logo and blinks on and off. I'm not sure why it's doing this. At first I though maybe the batteries dying, so I plugged it in and loaded it, and when it was fully loaded I tried it again and it still kept blinking, turning itself on and off. I'm not even sure if anybody owns one of these peice of s mp3 players, but if you do, can you help. Thanks
