What fire pagers are narrowband??!!?
Im looking for a good, durable, waterproof pager to buy. Im having some trouble though...our county that I live and serve in is switching over to the narrowband frec. So alot of people have them for sale but they have no clue if they work on this new band. Can someone please five me a list of fire pages that will for sure work on narrowband ? ? ? ? ?

Years ago I had a pager at work that could read out a message to me out in the field, but I don't know how they sent the message. I want something that is cheaper than cell phones, and that can snag a more reliable signal than cell phones.

Our fire dept. uses alpha pagers to get calls. Are there different kinds? Do they cost money to have the service every month?
