Reliable piano information
What kind of digital piano do you have? Studio Monitors?
Hey guys, I'm in over my head when it comes to choosing a digital piano for my new home studio in the making. lol. Seriously I'm familiar with a lot of pianos keyboards out there because I've been doing my homework, but you know I'd like to hear some of your opinions. What do you use? What do you use it for? Would you recommend it? I'm interested in weighted keys 88 keys if i can help it midi in out decent sound samples. Is this all possible for under 500? lol. I've found nice keyboards 599 799 and up. Upright digital pianos for 999 and up. What do you think?Also, i'm basically emulating the home studio of an up and coming artist, and I know this person owns BX8a studio monitors. Read some nice reviews but are there others that would provide similar quality for less than 500 I can get 'em used for 300 but im still curious. Thanks for taking the time out to read this. Problems recording piano with Samson Meteor Mic...?
I bought a Samson Meteor Mic recently, and I absolutely LOVE it for vocals. But... it doesn't like my baby grand piano one bit. I've tried putting it everywhere around the piano and I just can't get it to sound decent. It sounds like it's too close and too loud no matter what. Does anybody else have this problem or know what I could do? Or is this mic just not made for piano? Please help, I really like this mic and I wanna be able to use it with my piano
How can I level out the piano and vocals in a recording?
I have this recording of just vocals and a piano they were recorded at the same time and the piano is a little bit overpowering of the vocals, also when I listen to it the noise only comes out of one speaker not two both speakers work fine so is there a way to level this out? Make both sounds even. Also take note I cannot re record this so I really need a way to find out how to level out the volume on this track.
