How to convert a webcam into a portable video recorder?
I have a typical USB logitech webcam and I want to convert it so I can mount it onto a model rocket. Is there a good online resource that will show me exactly what I need to do.I want to do the following 1. convert the power source to a battery instead of USB 2. have video recorded onto an SD or microSD card.Thanks

What is a good portable video camera for business use?
My company is having me take on A V duties, and with these A V duties they have put me in charge of finding the best affordable video camera.My co workers right now are recording video through their digital cameras or cell phones. There is no shaky cam, so I am working with these awful videos. They want to send video cameras out with people when they go to jobsites. The issue is that we need a video camera that is super portable, affordable and can get a pretty steady video without a tri pod. Suggestions?oh and forgot to mention, I will be editing these videos through mac video editing software.
I'm looking to get a portable video player that has good internet web browsing. Which device should I get?
I was either looking at the Archos 5, 605 or the Nokia N810 but I'm open to other devices. Basically I'm going on a trip to Europe in 2 weeks and want a replacement to my PSP and want to use the device to watch movies and search the internet. I like the Archos 5 but I've heard horror stories about how unstable the software is. I like the Touch Option with a screen that is about 5" . Thanks for your help.

so i used to have a functional nook color but after awhile i stopped buying books and it bcame mostly a video music player for me but now the thing finally broke down on me. since id like to continue watching my anime on the commute to work im looking to buy a simple portable video player and save myself some money instead of replacing the nook color which i dont really need. ive seen 2 players that caught my eye, the aluratek cinepal and the coby hd video player. ive heard alot of good things AND bad things about both of these players and id like to know if they are just disgruntled people that dont properly take care of their electronics or are they flawed players?if you are going to recommend something else then please, nothing smaller then a 7 inch screen as it gets too hard to read subtitles with a screen any smaller then that and yes for the record i know that alot of things, the nook color included, doesnt support MKVs but handbrake takes care of that
Where can i buy (in Khobar, KSA) a battery pack for my portable video/mp3 player?
i spent so much buying rechargeable batteries for my player 4 pcs size AA . i cannot wait charging the batteries especially when i am on the go. i want a portable battery pack which i can take along when i go out. my player requires only 9v. playing video at long hours easily consumes the charge that's why i am looking for a battery pack which lasts longer.
Is there a portable video player that does not need conversion or syncing software?
Is there a portable media player that does NOT need to convert or 'sync' the video files from my PC ? I would like to be able to just drag and drop the media files to the player as if it were an external hard drive ? I tried Ipod, Zune and Sansa but they all come with a conversion syncing software that needs to convert files before uploading to the player. I find this process a hassle. Please help ...? Thanks
Good portable video player?(main) with music(necessary) but not as important?
preferably something which can handle a variety of formats, a screen which is bigger than say an iphone 4 but not like ipad playbook size as well as a decent music interface and please don't put forward a phone, thanks
Portable video camera with a long battery life...?
I am looking for a portable video camera think Flip size i.e. size of a cell phone that i can easily fit into a pocket , that can record HD and has a battery life of around 4 hours and obviously can record for four hours too . The best I've seen so far is a 2 hr battery life. Oh also needs to be able to be mounted on a tripod.
Kodak Zi8 Portable Video Camera...HELP PLEASE!!?
I am looking into purchasing the Kodak Zi8 as I go to many concerts, and I am looking for a small,portable video camera. Is the quality good? I read a review stating that the quality on the computer was terrible. Some people also said that the sound quality was poor. On some sites though, everyone gave it five stars. Pleas help me if you have this camera. If you have had bad experiences, what camera would you recommend? Thanks so much I am looking for a camera with good low light performance. Flip Ultra Camcorder 2nd Generation, 120 Minutes . I read the reviews and consumers seem to be overall happy with this item and in some ways an improvement from the HD one previously released? Portable video player for a kid?
My son's birthday is coming up, and I thought I'd get him a portable video player. I want to be able to take DVDs, convert them into video files, upload them to the player, and he can watch them anywhere. Durable would be a plus, and under $200 would be preferred I'm not willing to drop $500 on an Ipad for myself, much less a child . I'm looking for something specifically for watching videos, but any device that meets these criteria will do. Kind of like a portable DVD player type device that uses video files instead of DVDs so I don't have to take DVDs with us .
