What's the difference between a name brand basic sewing machine and one that is used in factory?
what i mean " basic" is it's no fancy functions, not computerized etc. I want to know why people need a no frill machine like me won't buy the one build for industrial use.

I have a Janome sewing machine. At the moment I can only stitch forwards and backwards, but I would like to change this setting so I can stitch in all directions, without being restricted to just too. How do I change it to this setting? Thank you two

Can someone help me Identify which model my old sewing machine is?
So I have this old sewing machine, and I'm not sure which brand name it is, or which model. I'm hoping someone from here can help me identify it, or point me in the right direction.It belonged to my fathers grandmother, and I know of singer sewing machines, but the website holds no information, it has no serial numbers or model numbers to identify it properly. All I have a pictures.And no, I cannot just take this machine to some antique shop or whatever to have a look at it, because I live in a small rural town no where near places like that.Here are a few pictures of the machine if anyone wanted to have a look.They aren't the greatest quality, as I took them with my Ipod.It does say Quebec on each side, and also somewhere else on it has the letters B& A Q1. My sewing machine's thread keeps jumping off the needle?
My sewing machine is a SINGER Prelude. I do as it says in the instructions and the video, but the thread " jumps off" the needle and it flies away instead of sewing into the fabric. What to do? I have no experience in sewing with a machine.

Sewing machine brother SQ-9000 E6 error msg?
I just bought a Brother sq 9000 sewing machine from Wallmart, and I have two problems.the first one I star sewing on denim when the E6 msg appears on the LCD screen. I check the manual, and it says that the Motor is locked up and the thread is tangled, I removed the tangled thread but it still doesn't work and the same E6 msg appears.the second one problem is that I don't live in USA, I purchase the machine from Wallmart using forwarding mail service. Now I'm not sure that I can use the warranty in my country. I live in Macedonia Europe and there is a authorized dealer of Brother in my country. Please note that I don't have the check I've only registered the machine on line on brother usa.com .

i dont know absolutly anything about sewing machines, i havent even seen one close. but i really want to have one in order to be able to create my own clothes. please tell me brandons, models, prices, etc. and please tell me if it's a good option to buy it on ebay. and as i dont know how to use it, do u think that it will take me too long to learn?
