Some telescopes and cameras might say 10X magnification. I have a 400mm lens. How many X is that?
So how is that computed?

Just wondering if anybody could give me a rundown...how far out into space could you expect to observe with a thousand dollar telescope? how far out with a three thousand dollar one? What would the quality be like? could I see the rocky surface of mars or just its reddish tint? help is appreciated.

I want to buy my boyfriend a telescope for his birthday. He is turning 25 on Feb 12 and he loves anything that has to do with space and earth. He is a beginner on telescopes, but i want to buy him a really cool one that is easy to use and at a reasonable price. A telescope that you can see the planets with would be nice, like Jupiters rings, and other cool things as well.

Telescoping Floor TV stand for 20-32" TV?
I'm looking to buy a free standing TV mount that telescopes up to at least 60" , the higher the better. It can be on a pole and doesnt need any shelves are anything like that. All I want is, for example a tripod type set up with a pole going straight up to mount the tv high in the air, 60" 96" . I would like VESA mount points for a 20 32" flat panel HDTV. Does this exist or am I going crazy? Thank you
Canon 7d attached to telescope?
I want to take pictures of the moon and stuff i figure ill need a telescope and some addpter but i dont know anything about telescopes or how they work i just need one that will get close to stuff to take pictures but i also dont know what telescope will work with my camera help me im lost
