What e-reader is best for textbooks?
I'm considering an e reader for the first time, and I would like to know which one hosts the most textbook editions specifically educational textbooks Also, I would consider a tablet computer, but I'm trying to go as cheap as possible.

How can I get textbooks on my NOOK?
There is one textbook that I cannot get onto my NOOK via Barnes and Noble and I was hoping that there was another way. The book is the 19th edition of Macroeconomics by McConnell. Does anyone know how I can get this book?

Can you download Kindle textbooks directly to the Kindle?
I have a Kindle Touch and I want to use it for using my college textbooks. Kindle does have my textbooks available as ebooks but it says it's for kindle for PC and Mac. I would expect it to work on an actual Kindle. Anyone try it?

I tried to purchase some textbooks from Amazon for my Kindle Fire, and it does not work. It stated that it will only work with the " kindle app" on mac, windows, or the IPAD. Does anyone know how this can be? I need textbooks. Should I just go buy an IPAD?? Thanks.

Is a kindle good at displaying textbooks?
I have a hard time reading e textbooks on my computer. Mainly because the pages are not big enough and the screen is annoying to read off of. It is just nicer to be reading it on regular paper. I was wondering if a kindle would be a good buy, because it's pages are a lot like paper. It would save me a lot of money. What should I do? Does anyone have any advice?

Nook color of textbooks?
Hello, just purchased a nook color yesterday for my birthday. I was hoping I could get my textbook onto my nook since I have nook study on my laptop... Now to find out that nookstudy is not compatible with nook color?? Really? Please explain.... Also, is there ANY ereader us college student may download textbooks on?

Which tablets support textbooks?
I want to get a tablet that supports textbooks because I don't want to spend the crazy amount of money that it costs to buy textbooks every semester. I also would like to stop having to carry the heavy textbooks around all the time. The problem is that I don't want to get the Amazon Kindle, the Nook, or the iPad. I would like to get the Samsung Galaxy Tab or the Motorola Droid XYBoard or something like that but I'm not sure if those will get textbooks or not. My theory is that you can because you can get the kindle app or the nook app and then get them through there, but I am not positive. If somebody could inform me on how that works it would be great because it is a hard topic to research of its not the iPad, Nook, or Kindle.

$79 kindle and textbooks?
I'm looking to get into the e book and pdf world and will be saving at least $100 a semester. My question is this how would a standard engineering textbook pictures, figures, graphs, and symbols fare on the new generation of kindle. I'm looking at the base model as I'd just be using the kindle to read textbooks. I already have an iphone and a laptop.Anybody have any experiences or resources to help me out?TIA

Is there a way to access mcdougal littell textbooks on an iPad?
When I try to access the mcdougal online textbook on my iPad, it tells me I have to have flash to access it but apple doesn't allow flash player on their products. I was wondering if there was a way to get the online book another way? Thanks

I was convinced that buying an iPad for electronic textbooks was a lot cheaper than getting them in print. But, since the price is over 400, I wanted to go with an Android OS tablet. Does Android offer textbooks as well?

Ipad textbook questions?
So me and my mom just heard about putting textbooks on iPads, and have been thinking about getting me one for school I'm homeschooled . So we have done some shopping, and have found one that fits our budget pretty well. It is a refurbished 1st generation 16 GB model from the Apple store online. But now for the real question that I need answered will textbooks work with 1st generation iPads? If they do, will 16 GB be enough to hold 2 3 of the interactive textbooks, and maybe a few games? Thank you
